Open Access to the Intermountain Journal of Sciences
The Intermountain Journal of Sciences (IJS) uses Open Access, which is a worldwide movement to enable journals and authors to publish material in a way that ensures free access to the general public for current and future publications.
IJS has partnered with Montana State University’s Library Open Journal Systems repository to make its publications widely available with little effort, and provides benefits that may not be available on IJS’s own website, such as: enhanced discoverability through Google Scholar, OAIster, and various repositories of scholarly material; a permanent and persistent web address for IJS so that it may be reliably cited over time; and managed archival services for IJS’s files. Both IJS and Open Journal Systems use Open Access, which is a worldwide movement to enable journals and authors to publish material in a way that ensures free access for current and future publications to the general public. However, IJS is still available in hard copy through its subscription service.
